How much Math is enough Math

Your student will probably have about 20-30 minutes of homework a night. I try to give students enough time in class to at least get a good start on their homework. A lot of the students actually finish their homework in class...about half have to take it home. I would be glad to sign off completion of homework on their planner page at the end of class. Students must take the initiative to bring the planner to me the last 5 minutes of class along with their completed homework. An excellent new resource I will be using in class is Danica McKellar's book, "Math Doesn't Suck." I highly recommend this book as an at-home resource book.  It's very common sense, funny, and current.  I was able to find it
